Abu Dhabi pipeline project in Fujairah faces delay
Design changes have pushed the completion date of the Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP) project by six months, Reuters has reported, citing sources close to the project. The 370-km pipeline with a capacity of 1.5 million barrels per day (bpd), which was slated for completion by year-end, would allow the UAE to boost exports from its Fujairah terminal on the Gulf of Oman. "The completion will not be before the second half 2011," a senior official of China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corp, the engineering, procurement and construction contractor (EPC) for the project said.
